Healthy RecipesFeta Cheese Turkey Burgers

The cheese and spices in this burger liven up an otherwise plain turkey burger. These are delicious served on a bed of lettuce for a low-carb version or on a whole-grain roll. I sometimes serve turkey burgers open-faced on a piece of thinly sliced 100% rye flour bread.

Mix turkey, ¼ cup cheese, olives, oregano sea salt and pepper together in a large bowl until well-combined. Form into four patties. Cook on a lightly oiled preheated grill or pan for about 10 to 12 minutes, turning patties halfway through cooking time. When patties are done, put on a plate and while hot sprinkle with the rest of the goat cheese. If serving open faced, you can top the cheese with a sprinkle of the sliced olives for a bit of color and flair.
