THB CoQ10 Has Arrived!

In last Wednesday’s Undercover, I told you about the remarkable energy boost I get from taking the supplement CoQ10.  I take 200 mg in a regular gel cap.  While the benefits have been great, I’ve just found out that a new and improved form will work even better - and at a lower dose.  It’s so much improved, that Dr. Al Sears says it’s 8 times more powerful than regular CoQ10.

This new CoQ10 is taking the country by storm.  Commercials are being run on cable stations throughout the country and even during Oprah and GMC.  Dr. Sears was one of the first physicians in the US to offer this breakthrough product and he’s thrilled to see the message is finally reaching the people that need it most.  He has all the exciting details here.

Did you know that even your teeth reap the benefits of CoQ10?

THB Another Reason to Smile

About one-third of the US adult population has some degree of gum disease –that’s tens of millions of people!  It’s caused by bacteria in the mouth that leads to inflamed and bleeding gum tissue and then loose teeth.  Studies have shown that people with gum disease almost always have low levels of CoQ10.

That’s because in order for your gums to heal you need healthy levels of cellular energy — and CoQ10 is the substance that energizes your cells.  But that’s only one of the ways CoQ10 keeps your teeth and gums healthy.  It’s also a potent antioxidant and immune booster.  As early as the 1970s, researchers reported that dosages as low as 50 to 75 mg per day often healed deteriorating gums, sometimes within days.

Since then, dozens of studies have proved its effectiveness in keeping your gums healthy and disease-free.  Periodontist Edward Wilkerson says by supplementing patients’ diets with CoQ10, he has reversed gum disease in which they would have lost all their teeth.

With my CoQ10, daily flossing, and twice yearly cleanings, I don’t plan on ever sitting in the dentist’s chair for painful oral surgery — that could have been avoided. I hope oral health is a priority for you too.

THB Natural Prevention: Dirty Words to US Lawmakers

I sometimes wonder if the US is really the progressive nation of forward thinkers that it claims to be — especially in the area of healthcare.  Take the swine flu for instance.  Government bureaucrats can’t move fast enough to get the vaccine to market — even though it means bypassing the clinical trials that would determine whether there are serious long-term side effects.

Compare this with our neighbors to the north.  The Public Health Agency of Canada is recruiting participants for a large-scale clinical trial to see if vitamin D will effectively protect against the swine flu.  The Agency is basing its study on a large body of evidence that shows vitamin D reduces the risk of upper respiratory infections, especially in the summer when people have adequate levels from the sun.

Canada is pursuing a common-sense healthy solution that could protect people from the swine flu altogether or dramatically reduce its severity — without any long-term side effects.  Doesn’t that sound like something US lawmakers can learn from?

As I mentioned in a recent Undercover article, if you’re concerned about the swine flu this winter, don’t rush to get the vaccine.  Instead, have your vitamin D levels checked.  If you’re deficient, be sure to enjoy the sun more frequently or take a high-quality supplement like Carlson’s soft gel.

  1. Natalie Blahut Says:

good news about coq10 for gums, therefore also for the teeth

this raises the issue of nontoxic dental care as another imperative for alternative health care

it is not a new idea that the whole dental care system needs to be overhauled and started over from scratch–totally nontoxic

of course, it can’t be done overnight–but not because we don’t know how

coQ10 is an excellent addition to other natural therapies which are available for dental care–common baking soda as a cleaner being among the best

number one for dental care, of course, would be optimal total health–which is to say that we need to raise our whole level of consciousness towards that goal

and why should our dentistry be toxic? our teeth do not stand alone separate from the body but are an integral part of it; the teeth, far more often than we would suspect, are the source of chronic infections “of unknown origin?”

we do have an endless supply of those diseases which are of unknown origin, don’t we? and we are good at creating more of them

let’s not rock the boat and start connecting known toxins with known diseases; these are better left unknown

some time ago Dr. Mercola had an article which he and his staff researched on the widespread problem of dental infections as a major source of chronic diseases

he also has a dental clinic associated with his alternative practice in Illinois

it is time to come up with more products for the purpose of caring for our teeth the way we do the rest of our bodies

there is also no dearth of resources available–or easily can be, for a practice of healthy dentistry to become available to us when we need it

i speak from a lifetime of dental problems which should never have happened

I have all the root canal jobs i need in my mouth for the rest of my life; amalgams are gone but then i later learned that gold crowns were reinforced with amalgam

some years ago i needed two more root canals, it was said–i did not get them but reduced the infection myself and life has gone on as usual

after several years, one tooth is still there with a large clean cavity; the other tooth, an eye tooth is gone but the dead(?) root is still there

the history of all my teeth, even with some of the best care available, was still a disaster–but a totally hidden one

as other dentists admired a four-tooth gold bridge, what lurked beneath it became an unscheduled lesson for students and staff at a teaching hospital many years later–where advanced work was also offered by assistants about to go into full-time practice

the still beautiful 35-year-old bridge was being replaced; when it was eased out of my mouth, the neuralgia on that whole side of my head left with it

till then the neuralgia had been of unknown origin

this ties in with your next subject which questions how advanced we are in our thinking

would we be where we are in every major area of our lives and ask whether you still want to raise that question again?

as for the rest of the world being in the same boat with us now–we can only guess who played the biggest part in that little coincidence.

your rating stars did not work for me; do you turn them off at a certain time–like putting them to bed for the night?
you have five starts from me as usual
